Whatever next?

What indeed?

Last night we were ready for the badger but what we did not expect to see it before we went to bed! So that kept us up later than we would have liked. Another visitor before we retired for the night was our barn owl that we haven’t seen for a while. It stayed on the wire across the top of our beech hedge from 10.30pm until 5.00am the following morning. The picture below was one of several taken at 4.20am this morning. If you have ever tried taking a picture in the dark when you cannot see anything in the view finder while balancing your camera on the back of a chair for 30 or 60 second ¬†exposures you will know what I was up against!

More badger in the video, this time no fox and I am hoping that the badger has not eaten all our hedgehogs!!
